Tim Schultz founded Seattle Custom Cabinets thirty years ago, crafting beautiful woodworking and cabinetry all over the city. Sadly, he passed away in the summer of 2020 and the wood shop was purchased by Jonathan Hurst. With the same building and staff, Jonathan continues to build on the tools, tricks, and dedication for which Tim was known and loved.

Jonathan entered the woodworking field in 2012 to connect with people and to design pieces of lasting value that mean something to his clients. A formal engineering education and five years in the aerospace industry gave him an eye for detail and the ability to solve problems in novel ways—skills that he relies on while collaborating with his clients throughout the design/build process.

Today, the members of Team SCC share Jonathan’s vision and take pride and pleasure in their craft. Working with Jonathan and the SCC Team means working with local artisans and suppliers to craft an end product that will delight and inspire.
