Seattle Custom Cabinets
The least expensive kitchen we have in our shop today is $17,000
The most expensive one is $73,000
The majority of them run between $35,00 and $55,000.
A kitchen like this one on Queen Anne Hill can range in cost from $9450 to $16900, depending on what style of cabinet is selected.
The overall volume of cabinets doesn’t change but the complexity and cost of each type of cabinet is quite a bit different.
There are four ways you could build this kitchen.
This kitchen in Ballard got a lot more icing for the budget because they were really good decision makers.
A project we had previously scheduled for this time frame got hung up in committee and we needed something to build.
These customers were willing and able to make selections in a timely manner so we could get them into the shop quickly.
“We've got a LG refrigerator (freezer drawer on bottom and french door refrigerator on top) -- because of where it lives the left door can't open fully.
This was a mistake that we've learned to live with because of the cost of the refrigerator.”
The job was well managed on everybody’s part.
There were about 100 questions that went back and forth during the project.. All of them were answered promptly and well titled.
Nobody had to spend a lot of time wading through a million emails. The whole project took 42 days from initial contact to installation.
The customers decided to stay with the concealed hinges and buy the true-divided lite glass doors instead.
They also opted to work with the people we recommended for paint, countertops & installation.
This saved everyone a tremendous amount of time because they didn’t have to do any more research and we didn’t have to train anybody new.
“A broom closet would be a great addition -- we keep the broom and mop on the porch now!
We'll figure out the recycling bin and get back to you before Monday morning. I'll discuss the hinges with my wife and see if she changes her mind.”
“How about a vertical broom-closet type cabinet to left of refrigerator?
We could build something fairly narrow so that it doesn’t compromise counter space at right of refer.
Could be a a pull-out that just fit a broom and cleaning supplies.”
“This guy does a really good job at paint.
He has painted a bunch of our jobs and he usually gets it right.
There are about 95 places you can go wrong with paint and this list usually starts with picking the wrong painter.
I don't think you will save much by shopping this one.
Same thing with install.
The guys we recommend are as good at installing our work as we are at building it.
A great looking cabinet with a lousy installation isn't going to make anybody happy.
I would stick with them because they are a known quantity. They are smart and they pay attention.”
The best thing you can do to lower costs and make your project take less time is to make yourself available.
Answer questions promptly. We can’t do anything without an answer. Email is king. Stay on top of your email.
Title your emails cogently and try to keep them to one topic per email. A hundred descriptively titled emails are
way easier to navigate than having to go on an easter egg hunt every time we need to find a model number.

It depends on what you put in your shopping cart.
How much your cabinets will cost depends on how many cabinets you buy
and what kind of cabinets they are.
When you buy them can also make a difference in what they cost.
Sometimes we have a hole to fill in the calendar and if you can order your cabinets for that time slot they can cost a bit less.
